Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: Experience coordinating and performing NDT and Radiographic welding, ensuring quality assurance and setting up, adjusting and using cutting equipment, inert gas purges and operating purge gas analyzers and control equipment. Experience performing shop and shipboard welding, setting up welding equipment for fabrication of piping assembly, piping and valve replacement of ships and/or submarines Applicants must meet the requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Job Qualification Handbook for Trades and Labor Occupations.
