For the GS 12 level: In addition to the basic requirements of this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as the lead construction engineer for projects ranging from simple repairs to unique multimillion dollar state of the art construction; 2) Applying sound engineering principals and judgement throughout the performance of projects including pre award and post award contract meetings and final inspections; 3) Identifying the need for modification to scope, cost or schedule based on collaboration with contractor, designer, or other entities; and 4) Documenting contractor’s performance and submits quarterly reports for costs, quality, and safety. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as the lead construction engineer for projects ranging from simple repairs to unique construction projects less than $150K; 2) Collecting and analyzing sound engineering principals and judgement throughout the performance of projects including pre award and post award contract meetings and final inspections; 3) Participating the modification to scope, cost or schedule based on collaboration with contractor, designer, or other entities; and 4) Documenting contractor’s performance and submits quarterly reports for costs, quality, and safety, with supervision.
