Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement, including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. ELIGIBILITY: Students who are currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment on at least a half-time basis at a qualifying educational institution in a certificate, degree, or diploma program. Interns and Interns NTE must: Be accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree or certificate in a qualifying educational institution on a half- to full-time basis (as determined by the educational institution); Meet the definition of a student throughout the duration of their appointments; Meet agency-specific requirements as specified in the agency’s Participant Agreement with the Intern and; Meet the qualification standards (e.g., series and grade) for their Internship positions. Applicants can qualify by meeting the EDUCATION requirements specified below. EDUCATION: GS-4: Completion of 2 full academic years (60 semester or 90 quarter hours) of post-high school study or an associate’s degree. GS-5: Completion of 4 academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree.
The incumbent will be part of the Pathways Program and serve as a Student Intern (Agricultural Marketing Specialist) in the Regional Office within the assigned region and is primarily responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating documents pertaining to investigations of potential violators of the Act. This includes reviewing investigative work, registration and bonding, scales, swine contract library, and complaint matters originating under the Packers and Stockyards Ac.
