FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Expert Facility Operations Specialist who has mastered the knowledge and skill in applying, a comprehensive range of principles, concepts and practices concerning equipment, facility or service operations with complicated technical requirements. Expert knowledge of, and skill in applying, a comprehensive range of principles, concepts, and practices concerning equipment, facility, or service operations with complicated technical requirements that have no clear precedent or plan. Experience and comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of management and organizational concepts, principles and practices as it relates to facility maintenance, infrastructure support equipment, construction safety principles, planning and budget planning, programming and execution. Experience and knowledge of facility and facility equipment principles and techniques used to establish initial repair and replacement factors and determine the condition of shore facilities. Experience and practical knowledge of the Military Construction Design process and with master planning processes. Experience and thorough knowledge of the management of facility engineering activities at complex facilities sufficient for ensuring uniform compliance for the entire facility with Federal, State, Local laws, DON/NAVFAC policies, procedures, and engineering and construction codes/practices. Experience and skill in making oral and written presentations in a clear and concise manner to senior level officials; includes the ability to prepare in-depth written reports that are organized, logical, and complete; and where applicable be able to gather, analyze, and evaluate information concerning facility management processes, draw conclusions, and recommend appropriate corrective actions or actions to improve economy and efficiency of operations.
