You must meet the Specialized Experience to qualify for the Administrative Officer, as described below. GS-14 level: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience managing budget formulation, execution and administration; Preparing reports, administrative policy statements and procurement cost analysis; Advising and informing management and employees of human resources rules, policies, regulations, and procedures; Experience in working with criminal investigative/law enforcement rules, and practices, including procedures, reporting and equipment used.
This position is located in the Division of Protective Operations (DPO), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM). The organization will provide physical security and protection of the Secretary. The position serves as a key piece of the senior planning and management staff, making contributions to the short and long-range planning of DPO programs as well as resources (both financial and personnel).
