This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE: *Resolves working problems and takes action to overcome bottlenecks, equipment breakdowns, material shortages, and other causes by delay and inefficiency. *Maintains records of individuals time, hours expended on work operations, cause of accident and injuries with corrective action to prevent reoccurrence. *Attends training programs , supervisors’ conferences, and will transmit applicable information to subordinates. *Keeps all work operations under close observation and control. *Directs the accomplishment of work operations, within the limits of policies and basic work schedules , set by management officials through the use or oral or written instructions, as provided by higher levels of supervision. You will serve as a PIPEFITTER SUPERVISOR in the PIPE SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
