To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: Representing NASA at topical aerospace meetings and conferences inside and outside the United States in both supporting roles for senior leaders and in leading outreach and engagement efforts; Managing or supporting operational, travel, and training budgets, producing periodic financial reports, ensuring proper funding and routing for travel itineraries, handling official purchase card actions; Serving as liaison with a wide range of Agency organizations including the Executive Secretariat, Mission Directorates, Centers, and Offices. As Executive Program Specialist in the Office of the Chief Scientist, NASA Headquarters, you will independently manage operations, coordinate audits, and facilitate communication and interactions with the Administrators Office Staff, Officials-in-charge, White House official staff, diverse stake holders (e.g. military, Congressional, international, academia), and other government agencies.
