SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST (TITLE 32)

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri National Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education and/or training which provided you with a good understanding of administrative methods for accomplishing the work of an organization. This experience must reflect the ability to analyze problems, come up with practical solutions, and to communicate effectively with others. GS-11 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 36 months of specialized experience that demonstrates your ability to provide guidance, recommendations and assistance to supervisors and employees in appropriate methods and techniques to control or eliminate unsafe behaviors and environments; plan, organize, analyze, and conduct safety studies and/or inspections of activities to evaluate and determine regulatory compliance; skill to identify occupational safety requirements and the need for implementation of new policies, plans, standards and methods to ensure the safety of personnel, working environments, equipment and facilities; perform periodic/unscheduled inspections of base facilities, warehouses, and equipment maintenance operations and evaluate compliance with applicable regulations and hazard system; and prepare reports using data from various source documents and prepared according to prescribed guidelines.

This National Guard position is a Temporary Promotion GS-0018-11 SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2939000 and is part of the MO TASMG Shop.
