MECHANICAL ENGINEER

In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Using Whole Building Design Guide (WBGD) and energy modeling software (i.e. Auto desk software, Microsoft Office, mechanical engineering design, analysis software) to assist with producing proposed design drawings and specifications for mechanical and utility systems; 2) Preparing calculations, cost estimates, project documents, reports, and designs for technical adequacy and sound engineering practice; 3) Presenting proposed engineering designs and plans and results of studies to upper management and project stake holders; and 4) Providing design support prior to construction award and provides the successful management of any and all post-award aspects of the construction portion for the projects assigned. You will serve as a Mechanical Engineer in the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFACENGSYSCOM) within the Public Works Business Line (PWBL), Utilities and Energy Management (UEM) Product Line Core of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH located at Washington Navy Yard, Washington DC.
