Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-13 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience providing guidance and oversight over the creation of relevant space/facility goals for a multi-faceted, distributed organization. Experience developing long term plans regarding facility space. Experience communicating with customers and executive leadership. Experience in space planning functions including real property, real estate, furniture acquisition, and work area standards. Experience working with a construction process, land acquisition process, or prospectus level work. Process and manage related projects. DCSA is seeking a Supervisory Building Management Specialist to oversee a staff of project managers. The incumbent must simultaneously manage multiple, dispersed facility projects at various project schedule stages and is required to manage a wide spectrum of tasks, such as prospectus or military major land acquisition. The incumbent must possess knowledge of operating programs and their interrelationships and with skills in long-range planning and financial management.
