Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. All applicants applying for the CU-13 level must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-12 level obtained in the private or public sector. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience: 1A. Conducting financial consumer compliance reviews on examinations or audits of financial institutions; OR 1B. Managing, or serving as a subject matter expert advising financial institutions, on financial consumer compliance; AND 2. Assisting in assessing financial consumer compliance risk within a financial institution and the financial institution’s efforts to measure, monitor, and control that risk. All applicants applying for the CU-14 level must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-13 level obtained in the private or public sector. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience: 1. Leading financial consumer compliance reviews on examinations and audits of financial institutions; AND 2. Assessing financial consumer compliance risk within a financial institution and forming conclusions regarding the financial institution’s efforts to measure, monitor, and control that risk.
