Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience which provided a working familiarity with routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs; and practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment, rules and procedures in a recreation program activity which has involve creation work in the area of sports and fitness; experience may be gained in a volunteer status. Must have basic computer knowledge as required to prepare and format correspondence, enter, maintain, and format spreadsheets, etc as appropriate. Experience must demonstrate knowledge of proper cash handling procedures, the ability to resolve common arithmetic problems used when receiving payment from customers, and the ability to operate a cash register. Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds with assistance. Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination is required. Must be able to read, write, and speak English and communicate effectively with patrons. Must be willing to work an uncommon tour of duty. Must be able to satisfactory complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). This is a drug testing position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. About the position: This position will be assigned to the 97th FSS Fitness Center. Pay will be set based on experience.
