MWR Recreation Assistant/Lifeguard

Incumbent must hold current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard training or equivalent, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid. Incumbents without a valid Lifeguarding certification must enroll in the Lifeguarding course provided by Naval Base Kitsap Aquatics Center and obtain certification within 30 days of hire. Must be knowledgeable of emergency water safety procedures. Must pass annual swim test demonstrating ability to perform the work. Must be able to demonstrate effective verbal communication skills. Successful completion of a National Agency (NACI) background check required as condition of employment.
