MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Demonstrated experience editing geospatial imagery products. 2. Demonstrated experience converting images into digital formats. 3. Demonstrated experience processing film. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Animation, Communication, Fine Arts, Photography, or a related field. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience generating imagery products derived from digital and analog photographic systems or a related field that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience generating imagery products derived from digital and analog photographic systems or a related field that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. Experience providing technical information to leadership in support of strategy initiatives for decision making purposes. 2. Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware issues. 3. Experience with digital operations and photogrammetric film scanners. 4. Experience using microfiche and book scanners. 5. Have a basic understanding of hard copy film and handling techniques. 6. Advanced understanding of Excel/Microsoft office suite.
Imagery Production Specialists generate imagery products derived from digital and analog photographic systems. They operate high-volume precision and digital imagery production equipment/software. They manage aspects of imagery production, quality control, and/or chemical systems.
