SUPERVISORY ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST

Military Grades: Officer Only GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Progressively responsible clerical experience or other work which demonstrated the ability to acquire and to apply a practical knowledge and understanding of the program objectives, policies, procedures, and requirements relating to the work of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which included administrative, clerical or support duties, such as, compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to person contacts to convey information that are typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Experience using computers and automation systems. Experience demonstrating the ability to follow agency directives regarding the principles, practices, and concepts of an environmental program. 1 year specialized experience to at least the next lower grade that provided experience, education or training demonstrating the knowledge of the principles, practices, and concepts of an environmental program sufficient to serve as the expert technical advisor on the various environmental programs. Experience demonstrating knowledge of environmental issues, problems and solutions regarding federal, state, rural and community environmental regulations. Experience in program planning or administration concerned with environmental protection or other activities related to environmental problems. Experience in an advisory or research capacity involving the creation of solutions to problems concerning environmental protection or other related activities. Experience using on-site investigation techniques, analysis of results and development of conclusions to insure conformance to environmental regulations.
