Specialized Experience required for in-service applicants: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves operating dispatching, communications, and automation systems; processing incoming emergency and non-emergency call requests for fire, medical and police assistance; coordinating emergency services with law enforcement and emergency response agencies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Specialized Experience required for outside applicants: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves operating dispatching, communications, and automation systems; processing incoming emergency and non-emergency call requests for fire, medical and police assistance; coordinating emergency services with law enforcement and emergency response agencies; mentor or train other dispatch employees as a senior operator on specific duties and job techniques. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision Making Interpersonal Skills Manages and Organizes Information Managing Human Resources Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement for in-service applicants: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Time in Grade Requirement for outside applicants: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

About the Position: Serves as the Supervisory Dispatcher in the law enforcement and security division, directorate of Emergency Services, United States Army Garrison Fort Hunter Liggett.
