You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé. For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as designing or implementing IT solutions in at least one of the following development disciplines: technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations. Examples of such experience could include: – Analyzing and resolving gaps between the current and target architecture and designs plans for transitioning to target architecture; OR – Advising leadership on Enterprise Architecture with primary focus on technology modernization, cloud adoption, security, and business transformation; OR – Developing and implementing strategies, policies, and guidelines for the acquisition, installation, integration, and migration of technologies, IT solutions, and business processes; OR – Leading cross functional teams to develop, implement, and evaluate enterprise roadmaps. AND In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must have proficiency in each of the four competencies listed below. – Attention to Detail, such as developing strategic plans. – Customer Service, such as mapping the journey of customers to determine best direction. – Oral Communication, such as presenting briefings to officials on controversial issues. – Problem Solving, such as making decisions or recommendations that could influence IT policies or programs.

This position is located at the Office of Information and Security Services (ISS), Architecture and Engineering Division (AED). This position guides the selection of technologies and technology solutions that support expected business outcomes, meet current and future business needs as well as functional and non-functional requirements.
