PURCHASING AGENT

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing/applying knowledge of acquisition supply systems, purchase regulations, methods, policies and procedures, the Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) program, and procedures to purchase needed complex supplies, equipment and technical services; 2) Conducting extensive market research/searches for required information and making purchases within government regulations, policies and procedures; 3) Analyzing requisition and procurement requests for compliance and accuracy, and analyzing technical data, supporting documents, and reference material from various listings, supply catalogs, and manufacturers’ catalogs and to prepare and maintain records, reconcile reports/data, research and reconcile discrepancies; and 4) Communicating effectively with vendors, customers and other Government offices to clarify requirements, prioritize work, negotiate cost and delivery terms, obtain and provide status, expedite material, and resolve problems.
