This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. WG-11 : Ability to troubleshoot and operate submarine antennas, buoy systems, and associated electronics. Ability to demonstrate familiarity with government Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF) work processes, including planning, work packaging, engineering controls, and safety regulations. Ability to communicate clearly with others both verbally and in writing; experience conducting pre-job briefs, reviewing assignment documentation, identifying testing specifications, and collaborating with assist trades. WG-10: Ability to set up and operate test equipment, including volt meter, megometer, frequency standard, and oscilloscope. Ability to perform electronic repairs, including basic soldering and crimping; read and interpret blueprints and schematics; gather, record, and report data; and effectively utilize approved guidance, documentation, and technical manuals. Ability to identify and correct job safety and health hazards, adhere to agency safety procedures, and demonstrate the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). You will serve as an ELECTRONICS MECHANIC in the Antenna Repair Shop (67H), COMMAND AND CONTROL SYSTEMS (CCS), ELECTRONICS REPAIR DIVISION (Code 730), WEAPONS REPAIR DEPARTMENT (TRF-700) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.
