Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in methods and techniques of electrical, mechanical and structural engineering sufficient to consider overall aspects of testing and evaluation of ships systems. Experience developing project criteria, assessing project performance and resolving novel problems and issues; Experience providing formal certification of ship readiness. Experience providing formal certification of ship readiness. Experience providing technical guidance on the installation, maintenance, repair or operations of shipboard systems and equipment. (e.g. hull, mechanical and electrical) Experience providing expert technical and engineering advice in details of construction and operation of complex shipboard systems on a variety of vessel classes of conventional and nuclear ships. You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Test Engineering Division (Code 246) for the Chief Engineer (Code 240) in the Engineering and Planning Department (Code 200) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
