You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – GS-04: The following information shows the amounts of education and/or experience required to qualify for this position GS-04 requires 12 months of general experience OR substituting education for experience. You can substitute two years education above High School graduation. General Experience Requirement is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. Time In Grade: Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the cut-off date or the closing date of the announcement.
This position is located in the Portland Area Indian Health Service, Fort Hall Service Unit. The Medical Support Assistant receives patients, answers telephone calls, and performs other clerical assistance in relation to patient care and treatment.
