Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: You must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking in one of the following languages: Spanish, French, or Russian. This information must be documented in your resume. AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Tracking budget expenditures; Researching global economic topics and assisting in development of presentations and/or reports; and Assisting in providing logistical support to a technical assistance programs. -OR- SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION: Master’s or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. -OR- COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for this grade level. This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until 03/12/2024, or until all vacant positions are filled. The first group of eligible applicants will be reviewed on 09/26/2024.
