Required Qualifications: Applicants must possess a J.D. degree and be an active member in good standing of the bar (any jurisdiction). Applicants must have a minimum of three years of post-J.D. experience and demonstrated excellence in trial advocacy and legal writing. United States citizenship is required. If the successful candidate is not a member of the Wyoming State Bar and is not eligible to become a member of the Bar upon motion or transfer of UBE score, he or she will be expected to favorably complete the Wyoming Bar Examination at the next available opportunity. The District of Wyoming has a position available for an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) in our Criminal Division located in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The District of Wyoming encompasses a large and diverse geographical area of 97,914 square miles and a population of 588,283. Our office employs 16 AUSAs, including four managing attorneys. Six Criminal Division AUSAs are in Cheyenne, two are in Casper, three are in Lander, and one is in Yellowstone National Park.
