Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Responsible experience which provided a thorough knowledge of office automation software (i.e., desktop publishing, word processing, calendar, and/or other software packages), and knowledge of correspondence, formats, grammar and spelling. Knowledge of rules, procedures, or operations applied to clerical assignment to perform the routine, procedural work of the office, such as preparing and editing documents, maintain files/records, making and preparing travel arrangements, screening telephone calls and visitors, processing mail, planning, organizing, and carrying out assignments and composing routine, nontechnical information for recurring reports and inquiries. Experience must have demonstrated the ability to perform research, select, arrange and compose material, and maintain organized files. Skill in typing; a qualified typist is required. Must have ability to read, write, and speak English. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact and courtesy.
About the position: This position will be assigned to the Lakehurst Youth Center.
