In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement. GS-05 Specialized Experience: To qualify, applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility of the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Reviewing procurement documents or purchase requests and related files or records for completeness and accuracy; Assists with monitoring movement and routing of requisition documents to ensure deadlines are met. -or- Education: Four years above high school. -or- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and specialized experience may be used to qualify for this position if the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. GS-06 Specialized Experience: To qualify, applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility of the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). 1) Reviewing purchase requests or contract documents for completeness and accuracy to ensure no errors or omissions. 2) Monitoring movement and routing of requisition documents to ensure deadlines are met. There is no education substitution at this grade level. GS-07 Specialized Experience: To qualify, applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility of the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). 1) Preparing and verifying procurement documents such as contract awards, modifications, close-out documents, or solicitations, etc. in accordance with established procedures to ensure completeness and accuracy. 2) Monitoring progress of contractor performance and contract delivery schedules to ensure compliance with contracts and meeting deadlines or agreement standards. 3) Researching procurement regulations, policies and procedures to resolve problems or answer questions. There is no education substitution at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 11/27/2024.
