Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience 1) performing accounting or other financial management technical methods, techniques, and procedures to resolve especially difficult or sensitive problems; 2) Utilizing the Defense Civilian Payroll System (DCPS) and Automated Time And Attendance Production System (ATAAPS) for inputting payroll data, verifying stored data in Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), conducting extensive records research, performing reconciliation, initiating corrective actions, and providing payroll liaison functions; and 3) Investigating and resolving payroll issues associated with various and unrelated types of Federal civilian appointments. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Concepts, Policies, and Principles of Payroll Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Financial Management Systems Financial Stewardship Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
