To qualify for the position of Supervisory Grants Management Specialist (Deputy Director) at (GS-1109-15), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you’re applying to. If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the “required documents” section for additional information). To qualify for the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties: Oversees grant programs or develops programs, activities, or initiatives that support state, local, or Tribal organizations and communities. Provides leadership and outreach on domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and/or other issues related to violence. Supervises staff and coordinates work-streams. This position is located in Washington, DC at the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). This position is to lead the Grants Development and Management Division (GDMD), establish the vision for and direction of OVW grantmaking, research, evaluation, and technical assistance, oversee all grants financial management, coordinate across OVW, and liaise with a wide range of federal, Tribal, state, and nongovernmental stakeholders.
