The applicant is to provide a separate narrative statement which describes fully, but concisely, how his/her experience supports each of the following Mandatory Technical Qualifications. Each technical qualification narrative should not exceed 2 pages. Failure to address these specific qualifications in a separate narrative statement will eliminate you from consideration: 1. Demonstrated competence in understanding, planning, and conducting research on the impact of mesoscale oceanography and ocean dynamics on radar and electro-optical remote sensing technologies. 2. Demonstrated research spanning physical oceanography, target detection and characterization, atmospheric phenomena (even for microware synthetic-aperture radar (SAR)) and derived inferences. 3. Demonstrated ability to develop cross-organizational teams to address the research problems, and identify and secure funding from sponsors for this research. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=GS-PROF AND Physics Series 1310 (opm.gov) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
