You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Prepares long- and short-range plans and strategies utilizing DoD’s requirements and capability development goals to ensure operational planning requirements. Provides project management to assess and improve operations and program effectiveness on complex processes and systems. Directs, coordinates, plans and organizes high profile and sensitive assignments in support of capability development and operations. Leads an assessment team to evaluate, validate, and monitor Joint Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel and Facilities(DOTMLPF) and provide recommendations to senior leadership. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for analyzing force structure and developing and coordinating directorate positions supporting the Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS) for Offensive kinetic and non-kinetic application of force.
