Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-09 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-07 or equivalent or higher grade, in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience for GS-09: You must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-07 level in the federal service or at an equivalent level, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as experience in performing a variety of office administrative management duties, reviewing correspondence for accuracy and content, maintaining and organizing office records and investigative information, placing supply and equipment orders through applicable vendors, and managing travel arrangement for staff, and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. OR Education: Master’s or equivalent graduate degree or two (2) years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B OR J.D., if related. OR The percentage of the education plus the percentage of the required experience equal 100 percent. Paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social) is qualifying. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. This position is located in the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG). The incumbent of this position will work within the Office of the Deputy Inspector General for Investigations (DIG INV), Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS), Mid-Atlantic Field Office.
