Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Manage large scale, complex geospatial architectures, standards, data models, modeling and simulation and certification initiatives. Interface with senior leadership, internal and external groups, departments, and agencies, to ensure efforts will result in a quality projects, on time and at a reasonable cost. Formulate geospatial policies and develop organizational goals for three or more of the following program areas (geospatial architectures, standards, data models, modeling and simulation and certification). Participate in the resolution of major issues impacting entire organizations . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone–no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and Evaluating Problem Solving Reading Comprehension Research Strategic Thinking Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
About the Position: This position will serve as a Senior Program Manager for the Army Geospatial Center (AGC) (Enterprise Support Branch) with overall responsibility for geospatial architectures, standards, data models and certification initiatives on behalf of the Armys Geospatial Information Officer (GIO). Responsible for geospatial for the Army, and involve close coordination with DoD agencies, military services, industry, academia, and the private sector.
