Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. For GS-12: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience includes coordinating staff and construction management services’ contract employees through participating in the planning operations, interpreting plans and specifications, controlling quality of construction and preparing estimates; providing technical advise to personnel on specialized features of work incorporated into projects; recommending corrections and solutions to problems encountered. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Contract Management Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Project Management Quality Assurance Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). To be referred, applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement.
About the Position: The incumbent will manage, direct, advise, and coordinate the Resident Office Quality Assurance Staff on a U.S Army Corps of Engineers Dam Safety Assurance Mega Project.
