Current Federal Employees: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting with conducting and assessments of facility, site, and environmental conditions; 2) Assisting in designing, planning, and cost estimating for the trades and crafts involved in execution of facilities services; and 3) Preparing detailed specifications for item/services required in place contracts and is responsible for quality control inspection of same. Outside Applicants: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-08) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the public or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Providing technical support in engineering or construction projects for maintenance, repair and/or construction of facilities, systems and equipment; 2) Assisting with conducting analyzes and assessments of facilities, sites and environmental conditions; 3) Assisting in designing, planning, and cost estimating for the trades and crafts involved in execution of facilities services; 4) Using material specifications, technical bulletins, material orders, to assist in determining materials for use in construction projects; and 5) Communicating effectively with customers and management. You will serve as a Engineering Technician (CIVIL) in the Maintenance and Engineering Program of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
