Naval Medical Command - Department of the Navy
This position will be filled under the General Schedule (GS) at the GS-14 or GS-15 level. To be eligible for selection at the GS-14 level, the candidate must have at least two years of legal experience in Federal Civilian Personnel Law (CPL) with significant litigation experience, and a total of three-and-one-half years of relevant legal experience. To be selected at the GS-15 level, the candidate must have five-and-one-half years, in the aggregate, of legal experience in Federal CPL and health law and/or in another OGC practice area, with at least three-and-one-half of those years concentrated in Federal CPL litigation. Experience in health law, ethics, standards of conduct, acquisition, fiscal law, and FOIA/Privacy Act issues is desirable. The successful candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Applicants with a record of making significant contributions to the advancement of the DON OGC or equivalent Office of the General Counsel or Law Firm/Office beyond the day-to-day legal practice are desired
