Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. To qualify for the GS-09: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-07. Qualifying specialized experience for the GS-09 includes: maintaining and tracking office budget, performing research, gathering data, preparing reports, presenting briefings or analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of program operations. or Education: To qualify based on education applicants must have a master’s or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related. or A qualifying combination of education and competencies as described above. This position is with the U.S. Dept. of Labor, Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) within the Birmingham Region. This position is at the full performance level. This position is outside the bargaining unit. Selectee will be expected to report to the office listed above.
