Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes monitoring the execution, obligation, and expenditure of funds for proper allocation; providing advise to managers on status of funds and whether funds are being used according to budget plans; and planning and scheduling work assignments for employees. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget Administration Budget Execution Budget Formulation, Justification & Presentation Fundamentals & Operations of Budget Manages Human Resources Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
About the Position: This position serves as Chief, Program and Budget Division, with responsibility for programming, budgeting, controlling, and administering the use of appropriated funds, to include authorizing the use of such funds by the program directors for the accomplishment of approved programs. This position is located at Fort Irwin, CA.
