Specialized Experience GS 12: One year of specialized experience which includes independently reviewing engineering design plans and/or specifications for accuracy; independently preparing design features for civil works projects, such as contract plans, specifications, and as-built drawings; provide technical guidance on design memoranda and final plans prepared; and serving as project manager or technical lead on engineering projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). The position will be filled at the GS-12 grade level. About the Position: This position is in the Engineering and Construction Division Design Branch. Position will work under section chief as project engineer for civil works projects; preparation of technical reports, final design for plans and specification products, and engineering during construction activities. Position requires coordination with internal and external stakeholders and leadership at the project development team level.
