Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a Food Service Worker ~ without more than normal supervision. The ability to perform the common duties of a Food Service Worker that includes washing dishes, pots, and pans, either manually or by use of mechanical equipment, cleaning spaces under and behind kitchen equipment and plating food on a tray. Frequently moves trays of completed salads, desserts, and/or moving trays of bulk nourishment. Performs work involving light to moderate physical effort. Lifts objects up to 30 pounds. Regularly pushes food carts weighing 45 pounds. Required to work on patient wards to deliver and retrieve menus and patient meal trays. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed predominantly in a noisy kitchen, and sometimes in dining area. The work involves continuous walking and standing on tile floors. The incumbent is exposed to minor cuts, bruises, burns and scalds. Incumbent works on rotating day, evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
