GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of materials and hand tools associated with packing and the ability to follow directions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least Six (6) months of experience or training demonstrating detailed knowledge of a wide range of accepted packing containers, protective devices, cushioning materials, methods, and techniques; experience preparing all documentation, and use of agency, federal, and international regulation on packing and shipping requirements that involve non-hazardous and hazardous material; experience using formulas and computers to determine weight, size, and materials support points for larger and irregular shapes; experience using packaging and preservation equipment, preservatives, and specialized processes; experience using all types of material handling equipment. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: 1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This position is located in the Distribution Section of the Deployment and Distribution Flight, Logistics Readiness Squadron, Mission Support Group, at an ANG Aviation Wing. DEFINITION OF AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1 = Officer, Warrant Officer, and Enlisted members of the Louisiana National Guard.
