In addition to the specialized experience listed below, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Attention to Detail – Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service – Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication – Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving – Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Specialized Experience: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-13 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is in or directly related to the line of work of this position and has equipped the applicant with the knowledge and competencies to successfully perform the duties of this position. More specifically, this requirement involves experience in: interpret government wide information security guidance and the application of information in establishing standards, policies, guidelines to ensure appropriate implementation and compatibility; working understanding of service provider managed or cloud computing technologies and the application of security controls within them; overseeing and manage multiple IT projects that required a range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques; ability to use tact, diplomacy, poise, and discretion when collaborating with colleagues and customers to satisfy security compliance requirements and obtain necessary resolutions. This position is part of OCIOs Cybersecurity Division. The incumbent is responsible for a wide range of complex assignments and projects relative to IT systems and cybersecurity matters. Location/Salary Range: Location Negotiable: These positions are Remote. The actual salary will be based on the geographic location of the individual(s) selected for this position.
