SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY GENERAL ENGINEER/ARCHITECT

This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This position has an SPF which is current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA) in any state, District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, designing, and sketching overall solutions for architectural and engineering features of various complex and unusually difficult projects for preliminary as well as final design purposes; 2) Providing advice and recommendations concerning general architectural and engineering methods and systems as necessary to develop and coordinate projects for design, repair, alteration, rehabilitation, installation, improvement or demolition; 3) Planning and participating in studies and research to improve standards and criteria applicable to architectural and/or engineering features of systems, materials and equipment; 4) Performing basic architectural and/or engineering studies and investigations to determine the most economical methods of fulfilling a program requirement; and 5) Supervising/leading multi-disciplined engineers, architects, and designers engaged in providing engineering and design services to assure project dates are met.
