To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: Participating on teams of engineers providing support for cost, technical, and schedule performance of aerospace/spacecraft control center systems; Participating in the design and develop of tools and capabilities for mission critical aerospace/spacecraft control centers; Evaluating and making recommendations to the improvement of mission critical information technology systems. This position serves as a Senior Computer Systems Engineer with responsibility for the development, operations, and sustainment of Mission Control Center Systems (MCCS) at NASAs Johnson Space Center. The Mission Control Center supports the International Space Station (ISS), Artemis, and other human spaceflight programs.
