In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying basic scientific principles, particularly those of mathematics and physical and engineering sciences. Experience with Job Summary/cui phase preparation using AIM, including a familiarity with NNSY’s role with respect to SHAPEC preplanning products and their execution at NNSY. Experience taking Availability Work Package items or Business Office Requests and creating the appropriate preplanning job summaries for the authorized work. Experience with hull structure and submarine welding and weld documentation, QA-20B forms, and requirements as it relates technical specifications – NAVSEA Technical Manual Chapter 074 and Tech Pub 1688. Experience with SUBSAFE requirements including the associated documentation via QA-9 & QA-10 forms and working knowledge of submarine circularity and associated requirements. You will serve as a NAVAL ARCHITECT (STRUCTURES) in the Submarine Structural Branch (Code 255), in the Structural Engineering and Planning Division (Code 250) of the Engineering and Planning Department (Code 200) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
