INTERDISCIPLINARY COMMUNITY PLANNER – BIOLOGIST – ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER – PHYSICAL SCIENTIST

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as a technical expert (NEPA Planner) for environmental planning and providing technical consultation and resolution on environmental issues in compliance with the interpretation and implantation of environmental regulations and standards promulgated by federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. 2) Providing written documents and edits various environmental planning documents to include Environmental Impact Statements, Environmental Assessments, and Categorical Exclusions. 3) Maintaining budget and schedule while ensuring a quality deliverable regarding NEPA requirements (e.g. EIS/EA’s, CZMA, CATEX, etc.). 4) Serving as a subject matter expert on areas under professional and technical cognizance of the section providing professional and technical assistance and information to other business lines, Public Works Departments, installations, and other officials with the Navy. 5) Maintaining communication with management, environmental regulatory agencies, contractors, and installations to ensure that Navy requirements are met and compliant with environmental regulations.
