You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience for the GS-13 grade level is one year of experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent, which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: – Experience applying principles, concepts, and process improvement techniques in a manufacturing and/or production operations; AND – Experience independently resolving production, labor, machine, and material conflicts or issues. Specialized experience for the GS-12 grade level is one year of experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent, which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: -Experience performing project management with experience of building systems and/or manufacturing processes. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. For the GS-12 you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks.
This position is located in the United States Mint in Philadelphia, PA in the Manufacturing and Support Divisions. The incumbent directs project management activities, serving as a General Engineer with responsibility for directing project management and related execution activities involved with the acquisition, design, development of specifications and standards, equipment layout, planning and installation, commissioning, training, life-cycle engineering and integration.
