GS-14: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector, which includes: (1.) collaborating with HR customers and stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met in the design, development, and implementation of new HRIT products and services; (2.) evaluating the effectiveness of individual applications through customer feedback and data analysis; (3.) distributes and balances workload among employees in accordance with staff work flow, maintains current knowledge and answers other employees’ questions on procedures, policies and directives. AND Additionally, an IT Specialist at this grade level must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the following four competencies:- Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.- Customer Service: Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.- Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.- Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. This is a non-bargaining unit position.
This is not a (drug) testing designated position (TDP). This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Human Resource Solutions in Washington, D.C. This position serves as Branch Chief of the Systems Management Branch, with responsibility for overseeing the conversion of systems to integrated electronic systems, the operation and maintenance, and the continuous evaluation, upgrade and improvement of HR automated systems.
