QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. All qualification requirements must include experience performing duties equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level. 1. Must possess an American Red Cross “Lifeguard” certification or nationally recognized equivalent (i.e. Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Certification). (Your certification must be uploaded as part of your application. Your application will be considered incomplete and you will be removed from consideration if your certification is not uploaded) 2. Must possess an American Red Cross “Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional Rescuer” (CPR-Pro) certification or nationally recognized equivalent (i.e. Ellis & Associates (CPR) Certification). (Your certification must be uploaded as part of your application. Your application will be considered incomplete and you will be removed from consideration if your certification is not uploaded) 3. Must possess an American Red Cross “Automated External Defibrillator” (AED) certification or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Ellis & Associates AED certification. (Your certification must be uploaded as part of your application. Your application will be considered incomplete and you will be removed from consideration if your certification is not uploaded) 4. Must possess or have the ability to obtain an American Red Cross “Oxygen Administration” certification or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Ellis & Associates Oxygen Administration certification within two weeks of employment. 5. Must be able to complete a 500 yd. swim test prior to each scheduled shift.6. Must be able to perform all lifeguard and CPR exercises.
Serves as a full-time Recreation Assistant (Lead Lifeguard) within the Parks & Recreation (Aquatics) Department.
