IDEAL CANDIDATE STATEMENT: The ideal candidate will serve as an authoritative expert on the Agency Windows and Linux server infrastructure and will have experience with maintaining and securing an enterprise data center. The ideal candidate will also have experience with ensuring cybersecurity compliance and risk mitigation, policy planning, project management, and with utilizing scripting to maintain data center equipment. The ideal candidate will also have experience with managing a cloud-based data center. To qualify for the Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) GS-2210-14, you must meet the following requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal service obtained in either the private or public sector typically gained in the IT field or through performing IT related tasks such as: Experience of operating, maintaining, and securing Windows Server (2016 and 2019) infrastructure. AND Experience of operating, maintaining, and securing an Exchange environment AND Experience of operating, maintaining, and securing Active Directory (AD) / Azure Active Directory (AAD). This experience must be fully supported and articulated in your resume to receive consideration. Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level. This position is located in the Infrastructure Branch of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The incumbent serves as a System Administrator ensuring information security and reports to the Supervisor of the Server Section, Infrastructure Branch. The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining & securing our Exchange 365 environment to include implementing scanning of email attachments and implementing a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program to protect the email environment.
