To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience which includes: serving as the focal point for administrative policies and procedures; establishing administrative office procedures to ensure compliance with regulations for daily operations; utilizing a variety of automated transmittal systems for labor purposes, government credit card purchases, travel orders, training request, purchase of office supplies, etc.; and providing clerical administrative support in managing an organization with high visibility. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone–no substitution of education for experience is permitted. About the Position: This is a permanent position with Headquarters, US Army Corps of Engineers, Directorate of Civil Works, located at the Government Accountability Office (GAO) Building in Washington, DC. Mission: The Civil Works programs include water resource development activities including flood risk management, navigation, recreation, and infrastructure and environmental stewardship. Our mission also includes emergency response.
