QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position.
Basic Requirement: A bachelor’s degree or higher in a professional medical field, health science, or allied health sciences appropriate to the position. This education must have provided knowledge of diagnostic, technical, therapeutic and support services in connection with health care; or An associate’s degree or diploma from an accredited professional nursing program; and possession of a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse (RN) from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States; plus additional coursework or experience that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of a four-year course of study as indicated above.
In addition to the basic requirement, candidates must possess the following:
Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of pediatric health and child development. Experience providing pediatric health consultation and coordination services in the same or similar setting (i.e., community health, school systems, or child and youth facility-based programs). Experience coordinating resources or providing direct care for children with complex special needs. Experience developing and delivering training on topics related to pediatric health.
Highly-qualified candidates will also possess at least one of the following: A post-graduate degree in a closely-related discipline Experience working at the HQ, Region, or equivalent level Experience working as a registered nurse or health consultant within the Department of Defense – schools, community health, or Child and Youth Programs.
